The power to transform through education

At Cebollas Marchite we firmly believe in the importance of education and in its power to transform people, given the impact it has on the future of our young people. That’s why, during the month of April, we opened our doors to two students from IESO El Cierzo secondary school in Ribaforada, and the results have been inspiring! Cebollas Marchite doesn’t just grow onions, it also grows opportunities for young people.

Hands-on experience of the working world

The students took part in a range of activities across several areas of the company: from tasks in the warehouse and helping on the grading line, to working with the maintenance team and supporting the forklift drivers, all the way to the administration department, where they helped with social media. They adapted well to teamwork, behaving in a polite, professional and proactive way. They completed their work placement in the working world successfully, which allowed them to see how education matters in every area of the company and to get an idea of where they might like to take their studies in the future, so they can find their own path in the working world.

Visible results

In all, the students spent a couple of weeks with us, and they were without doubt very valuable ones. This experience has shown us the importance of giving young people the opportunities and tools they need to thrive in an increasingly competitive world, by showing them first-hand what the working world is like, always in a safe environment built on responsibility and respect for a job well done.
